Ritzy Multiplex Cinema -
London
The Ritzy is London's only multiplex
Art Cinema. It has 5 auditoriums with restaurants and bars, on two
floors.
Futronix was commissioned to provide the lighting control systems
for the entire complex. This included the refurbished Edwardian
main auditorium which is preservation-listed by English Heritage.
Futronix worked with the architects and lighting consultants to
provide a custom-design light show. This was programmed to provide
an entertaining feature for the audience while highlighting the
unique character of the cinema.
All lighting in the auditorium is controlled by the
Futronix PFX dimming system. This includes the decorative
lighting on the arches, ceiling and columns as well as the seat lighting,
curtain lighting, signs, emergency lighting and stage lighting.
The system is programmed to provide a cascading light show
before each movie. This highlights the Victorian arches and columns all the way
down in a rolling cascade.
The lighting in the other 4 cinemas, foyer, restaurants and
bars is controlled by a network of Futronix PFX-16
digital dimming controllers. |
